A new “Cali Mexican” restaurant called Cinco Tacos + Tequila is coming to Winter Park, taking the spot formerly occupied by Carmel Kitchen, the company announced Wednesday.
The news was reported Monday by Orlando Sentinel’s GrowthSpotter, saying real estate investor Nancy A. Rossman had purchased the property at 140 N. Orlando Ave. in Winter Park.
The restaurant will be operated by veteran restaurateur Greg Pranzo, who was an early partner in the former Cowgirls Rockbar on International Drive and owns Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen and Bar in The Villages. He has also been involved with several Wahlburger’s restaurants.
The restaurant is slated to open in July and serve “favorite Mexican dishes with an artistic twist.” Some of the dishes will include “tableside guacamole, Adobo fried chicken, pizza stand nachos, fajita chimichangas samosas” and street tacos. It will also offer brunch on weekends.
“We’re bringing something new to Winter Park,” said a statement Greg Pranzo. “Our take on this food is something people won’t have tried before, and with our focus on service, presentation, and of course, a fun atmosphere, we’re confident Cinco will soon become a go-to for diners.”
The restaurant is currently hiring at the property for about 100 positions.
